Save Yeppoon TAFE – Stop the Secret Plan

To the Honourable Speaker and Members of the Queensland Legislative Assembly,

We, the undersigned residents of Queensland, oppose the proposed conversion of the Yeppoon TAFE site into an Aboriginal school for troubled and disengaged youth.

The decision has been made without proper community consultation, and the approval of the Queensland Government is still required.

We believe the Yeppoon TAFE site, located beside the Yeppoon High School on Tabone Street, is not an appropriate location for this initiative. A more suitable alternative should be considered in consultation with the community.

    I think if this goes ahead they will get their school but the senior citizens new premises will be on the back burner.

    These places should be in remote areas.

    If they were going to turn up to school they would already be there. This will ruin Yeppoon

    The TAFE is an integral part of Yeppoon. Senior Citizens have been meeting there and should continue to do so, please.
