Community Concerns Over Closed Tender for Youth Facility in Yeppoon

One Nation’s James Ashby has raised concerns over the lack of community consultation regarding the proposed troubled and disengaged youth education facility at the old TAFE site in Yeppoon. With no transparency in the tender process and concerns about its location next to Yeppoon High School, locals are demanding answers from officials.

I don’t see a huge problem here. The government reusing a school currently not being used is a win.

All KIDS now having a place to go and actually learn how to be a kid because there’s 1000 kids next door to help along the way.

It’s crazy a politician wants to stand in the way of helping first Australians and all Australians become productive members of a community in yeppon.

I think he needs to think about it again and readdress the situation.
