An unnecessary decision to not renew a 5 year contract with a local business running our 'Containers for Cash' site in Yeppoon has left the town without a way to deposit their cans without travelling to Rockhampton.

COEX have instead handed the contract to a company who can't obtain Council approval for the new site because it backs onto residential homes, who rightfully don't want to listen to the sound of breaking glass 7 days a week.

What's Labor had to say about the issue? Nothing.
