Steven Whiteheads' journey from a modest home in South Africa to becoming an Australian Citizen is a tale of perseverance and ambition. Raised by a hardworking mother, Steven's early years instilled in him a desire to improve his life and uplift those around him.

In 2007, armed with little more than a suitcase and a handful of dollars, Steven embarked on a working holiday visa to Australia. "I had heard great things about Australia—the people, the lifestyle, and the opportunities for hardworking individuals who wish to succeed," he recalls.

Steven's dedication and resilience paid off as he secured sponsorship from two companies, ultimately becoming an Australian citizen. Over the past sixteen years, his industrious spirit has helped three companies establish themselves in Australia. For the last seven years, he has been building his own company from the ground up, navigating the complexities of running a business with tenacity and determination.

Steven considers his greatest achievement in life being married to his wife, Vida, whom he met in Australia. "Being married under God and having a complete nuclear family is the greatest gift a man can have," he says.

Steven's interest in politics stems from a genuine concern for the average person. "The failures of career politicians, who seem to be in it only for what they can get out of it, have always made me want to step up and see if I can fix or remedy the obvious issues," he states.

He is passionate about addressing essential issues such as the cost of living, road congestion, infrastructure, and crime. "These are basic needs, and our current government is not delivering what they preach," he emphasises.

Steven envisions an even greater Queensland, one where the people, the spirit, and the way of life are not undermined by self-serving politicians. "This needs to change," he asserts.

Steven is calling for your support to keep the district of Broadwater thriving now and into the future. Echoing the words of John F. Kennedy, he says, "Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country." This is your opportunity to make a difference for the betterment of Queensland and Australia.

I’m passionate about Broadwater and I’ve dedicated my career to delivering for our community.
