Roger Marquass is a passionate advocate for the Australian community, dedicated to empowering local opportunities and preserving traditional values. Born in Brisbane, Roger's diverse upbringing across New Zealand, Germany, Ireland, and China has given him a rich global perspective, which he now channels into his advocacy for his beloved Queensland. Ensuring a prosperous future for his family, including his 9-year-old daughter, is his top priority.

Roger’s professional journey began in humble circumstances, working various jobs that instilled a strong work ethic and resilience. He later built a successful career in hospitality with ACCOR before pivoting to his true passion, tennis. In 2000, he founded a local tennis club on the Gold Coast, which has since grown into a thriving business serving over 4,000 clients. His extensive coaching experience ranges from nurturing local children to training juniors at the highest international levels.

Despite his successes, Roger has faced challenges, particularly with the Gold Coast City Council's shifting policies that threaten local sports clubs and jobs. Additionally, as the owner of "The Jolly Roger" rum bar in Brisbane, he has witnessed the impact of rising living costs, advocating for policies to address these inequalities. Roger's academic achievements include an Executive Master of Business from Bond University, and he has successfully launched an import-export business, though he critiques Australia's current tariff structures for disadvantaging local manufacturing.

Roger is deeply concerned about the Queensland educational landscape and advocates for a return to traditional values, opposing ideologies that undermine natural biological principles. With a vision for a stronger and more equitable Australia, he seeks to represent his constituents in State Parliament, championing One Nation policies that prioritise Australian families, uphold traditional values, and foster a prosperous future for all.

I am passionate about Mermaid Beach and dedicated to delivering for our community.
