Rodney Hansen is one of those silent achievers whose contributions often go unnoticed. Our community thrives thanks to individuals like Rodney, who live with passion, curiosity, imagination, and sheer doggedness. He has always been dedicated to making a difference, working tirelessly behind the scenes to help his community overcome various challenges.

Born into a struggling family in Kingaroy, Rodney’s early life was marked by hardship. With his father, a returned serviceman, spending many years in and out of Greenslopes Hospital, Rodney found a mentor in his grandfather. The life lessons imparted by his grandfather, such as "Always finish what you start" and "Do what has to be done," have guided Rodney throughout his life. These values have been his foundation as he raised four children with his wife Helen and supported seven grandchildren.

Rodney's nearly 40-year career in small business has given him a deep understanding of the struggles faced by small business owners in their communities. His dedication extends beyond business, as he has been actively involved in various community organisations, including the Ratepayer Group, Moreton Bay Safe Communities, The Circle of Men, and The Men’s Shed. Rodney’s involvement in these organisations showcases his commitment to supporting and uplifting his community.

With a long-standing interest in politics, Rodney is an advocate who promises to fight for his community's voice. He believes the current member has forgotten their needs, and he is determined to address pressing issues such as crime, drug use, and youth unemployment. Rodney is confident that One Nation’s policies can help turn these epidemics around. His passion for the people and his community drives him to seek change, advocating for a better future. Rodney Hansen is ready to stand up for Moreton Bay, pledging to be the strong, determined voice his community needs.

I’m passionate about Morayfield and I’ve dedicated my career to delivering for our community.
