Talent flocks to One Nation’s banner for Queensland election

PRESS RELEASE: Queensland voters will have a large team representing One Nation to consider as sensible choices at the state election, with 37 candidates now confirmed for the party and dozens more to be announced.

One Nation spokesman Damian Huxham said the party aimed to field candidates in every electorate to give Queenslanders genuine choices on 26 October.

“Our team has been campaigning strongly for change in their respective communities,” Mr Huxham said. “One Nation’s is a grassroots campaign, strongly driven by local issues in every electorate as well as the major issues affecting every Queensland household and business.

“Escalating crime, the cost of living, the housing and rental crisis, and the ‘renewables’ spreading across regional Queensland are affecting every community. Everywhere in Queensland, communities are crying out for the change that One Nation seeks to deliver.

“From the far north to the far west to the suburbs of Brisbane, more and more voters are turning up to our community events to hear One Nation’s message: we’ll put Queensland and Queenslanders first at this Queensland election.

“Our candidates have held events across the state with huge attendance and positive interactions every time. Before election day we have many more events planned.

“One Nation candidates have knocked on many thousands of doors across Queensland, and the response from our door knocking has been very encouraging.

“We picked up good momentum early in this campaign for Queensland by launching our suite of election policies all the way back in February this year. We’re still waiting on the LNP to produce one policy despite their greater resources.

“Our positive policies for Queensland were developed through forums and conferences that One Nation has held throughout the state since 2020.

“Our message is resonating and our support is growing. Queenslanders want to send a message at this election: we’re tired of the business-as-usual approach of the major parties and we need real change, real leadership and real representatives who will listen to their community and give them a real say in the future direction of Queensland.”
