One Nation Candidate becomes Whitsunday’s Mayor
After securing over 13% of first preference votes in the recent Federal Election, One Nation’s candidate for Dawson, Julie Hall is now officially sworn in as the Mayor of Whitsunday Regional Council.
Julie being elected as Mayor after preference distribution displays the power and importance of preferences for minor parties such as One Nation.
Julie says she "belongs to a new breed of politicians" with a focus on the community rather than "slandering, bullying and trying to bring others down to gain control".
Ms Hall who is a successful small business owner initially ran in the 2022 Federal election stating that “It’s time for fresh leadership with a Party that has always had Australia’s back”.
Although unsuccessful in her Federal election campaign, Julie’s passion for her community motivated her to run for Mayor. Effecting positive change is a passion for Julie whether it’s locally or nationally, with many Whitsunday locals excited to follow her career closely.
