- Senator Roberts' Talks: Engagement and Relevance Survey
Malcolm Roberts Travels Queensland
From the desk of Senator Malcolm Roberts
This week I’ve visited pre-poll booths and talking to Queenslanders at Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Gracemere, Bouldercombe, Mount Morgan, Tannum Sands, Gladstone. Before the end of the week, I will also remotely attend a Senate hearing into the Misinformation Bill in between visiting Gin Gin, Maryborough and Gympie. It’s clear Queenslanders are looking for change.
Many agree they’re unlikely to get meaningful change from Crisafulli who refuses to stand for anything and takes victory for granted. Whenever undecided Queenslanders hear of One Nation’s genuine vision for what should be the richest state in the world, there’s almost universal agreement team Team Orange has the answers.
One area where One Nation takes a strong stance is the Net-Zero insanity, which Steven Miles and David Crisafulli completely agree on. I had the chance to visit Bouldercombe where a large battery exploded into flames last year.
The local fire crews couldn't do anything to put the lithium fire out. They just let it burn for days, spewing toxic fumes over the local community, hoping it would run out of fuel.
That was a 50 megawatt battery system. Now the small town of 1,200 is facing down plans for an additional 800 megawatts of battery to be installed.
Both Steven Miles and David Crisafulli have nothing to say to the hundreds of Queensland communities facing down similar environmental devastation. They are both committed to devastating communities and the environment for their wind, solar, and battery plans.
Only One Nation will put a stop to the destruction of communities and the environment. Regional Queensland is not the dumping ground for Brisbane's ridiculous ideas.
