At 48 years old, I’m a dedicated husband, father, and a fabrication tradie, with a career spanning gas projects on both the east and west coasts. For the past 14 years, I’ve been a self-employed contractor constructing water treatment plants, currently working in Cardwell until early August.

My journey with my wife, Rebecca, began in 2007, and we tied the knot three years later. We’ve been blessed with two wonderful children, a daughter born in 2015 and a son in 2017. Rebecca holds down the fort and keeps our kids in line while I work away, but whenever we’re together, it’s all about family.

As a family, we cherish our time traveling around Australia, caravanning, camping, and exploring the unique beauty of our country. Whether it’s attending country shows, rodeos, or festivals, we embrace everything that takes us away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Highlights for us include the Deni Ute Muster for the last three years and the Isa Rodeo last year.

Family is my “why”—the reason I’m driven to make this world a better place, to leave behind a peaceful and prosperous future for the next generation.

Like many of you, I’ve watched as politicians have dragged our country down, selling us out and leaving us to pick up the pieces. Every decision, every inaction, has made life just a little bit harder for everyday Australians.

That’s why I felt compelled to step up—to help flip the switch and change the direction our state and country are heading. It’s time for a government that works for you, that strives to make life better and easier for Australians.

This is no time to be meek. Australia needs strong, fearless, and determined people ready to fight for our country, our state, and our communities. I’m ready to be that person for Callide—ready to stand up for you, your family, and mine.
