ANZAC day - our most treasured day
Anzac Day is a significant occasion for Australians. It is a day when we come together to commemorate, remember, and reflect on the bravery and sacrifice of our servicemen and women who fought for our country. It is a time to reflect on the values of courage, mateship, and sacrifice deeply ingrained in our national identity.
At our office, we have made an annual tradition of sending cards to RSLs around Australia to acknowledge the bravery and sacrifice of our service men and women. The many responses we receive yearly from grateful recipients are a powerful reminder of the impact that small acts of kindness can have on others.
I hope this example will inspire us all to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the efforts of those around us, not just on Anzac Day but every day. We can all make a difference by showing kindness and respect to those who have served our country and by acknowledging the hard work and dedication of others. Doing so can improve the world, one small act of kindness at a time.
Here are some of their responses to our cards:
response 1
"Thank you for your card in remembrance of Anzac Day. I look forward to receipt of it each year!
At our Anzac Day service, I intend to read out the poem by John McCrea and Inform the gathering that I took it from your card."
