Aboriginal Truth Telling Commission gone
In a move that has surprised the most ardent One Nation supporters, new LNP Premier David Crisafulli has cancelled Labor’s signature Aboriginal policy, the ‘Truth Telling Commission.’
The Premier rightly called the process “divisive,” but, in typical woke fashion, walked a fine line to avoid offending anyone, stating he didn’t want to disrespect the commission and even referred to their “information sessions” with “respect.”
The commission’s chair, Joshua Creamer, revealed that he first learned about the cancellation via media release and blasted the government for serving up everything but ‘respect’ for the commission. So, how’s that “respect” working out for you, Premier?
One Nation fully supports this decision, but we can’t help but point out that while both treaty and “truth-telling” seem bound for the bin, the relentless Aboriginal land grab remains unchecked. Many Queensland towns are now facing threats of takeover by Indigenous corporations.
Here’s something you can bank on: the Liberals won’t lift a finger to help communities like Toobeah, Maryborough, Rainbow Beach, Fraser Island, or Keppel Island because it doesn’t align with their agenda. With the tokenistic “treaty” out of the way, the real test will be whether the Liberals have the spine to stand up for these towns and prevent takeovers.. We say fat chance.
Very happy to be proven wrong though.
