- Senator Roberts' Talks: Engagement and Relevance Survey
Peter Rawle steps forward as One Nation’s candidate for Traeger, a vast electorate encompassing rural and remote communities in North and Western Queensland. Traeger faces many unique challenges, including limited access to essential services, struggling infrastructure, and the need for greater regional development. As someone deeply connected to the region, Peter understands the daily struggles of these communities and is committed to advocating for solutions that enhance the quality of life in Traeger.
Peter is passionate about addressing the growing issue of youth crime, which has become a pressing concern for many rural towns. “Communities in Traeger deserve safer streets, and we need stronger measures to ensure young offenders face real consequences while also providing pathways for rehabilitation,” Peter explains. His focus extends to revitalizing essential services, including better healthcare, education, and law enforcement to support remote towns and Indigenous communities.
Recognizing the importance of agriculture and small businesses to the region's economy, Peter will advocate for reducing unnecessary regulations and providing practical support for local businesses and farmers. Additionally, Peter is committed to advocating for essential water security measures and improved transport infrastructure, which are critical to ensuring the future prosperity of Traeger.
Peter believes that every community deserves representation that prioritizes local voices over political agendas. “It’s time for a government that works for the people of Traeger,” he says.
